Comfort 1st Kids Coat Drive is starting off the 2022 – 2023 donation campaign this October 1st, 2022 and is accepting donations through November 30th, 2022. New and gently used coats for children ages 1-18 are being gathered at Schnucks and Woodman’s grocery stores in Rockford, IL. The donations are being collected near the front of the stores in boxes wrapped like Christmas presents. (Cash donations are not accepted.)

If you would like to become part of this program and volunteer to become a Sponsor, please fill out the Sponsor Interest Form on our website. Comfort 1st Kids Coat drive is accepting sponsorship for donation locations, donated coat cleaning services, and donation pick up locations.

Providing coat donations for children helps keep them safe from freezing temperatures during the winter and protects against hypothermia. Children have a better self image when they have proper clothing which improves self esteem. With proper winter protection, kids can enjoy outdoor activities like building snowmen and having snowball fights.
